Its product portfolio includes HDMI and analog/digital AV cables, connectors and adapters, AV converters, switchers, distribution amplifiers and extenders, IR control products, USB/network hardware, power products, wall plates, security-related accessories, and assorted electronic components. Calrad also performs custom assemblies and modifications for OEM customers. It is particularly associated with AV interconnect, signal-distribution, and installation hardware, offering a broad catalog for electronics installers, integrators, distributors, and OEM customers. Calrad's U.S. operation is based in Los Angeles, while its product supply/manufacturing network is concentrated in Asia.
Calrad HDMI extenders, converters, splitters, and distribution hardware may produce no usable video at the destination. Common associated conditions include power loss, cabling problems, incompatible source/display formats, or failed signal-processing hardware.
Video outputs may exhibit noise, spots, distortion, dropouts, or unstable images even though the source signal is good. This can affect individual amplified outputs while a loop-through output continues to operate normally.
Externally powered Calrad hardware can become completely nonfunctional or intermittent when its AC/DC adapter, DC connection, or internal power circuitry fails. Loss of adequate power can also present as a signal failure rather than an obviously dead unit.
HDMI distribution and extension hardware may fail to establish a usable connection between particular sources and displays. Symptoms include a blank screen, intermittent picture, or equipment that works in one source/display combination but not another.
IR repeater systems can show power yet fail to control the connected AV component. Receiver/emitter compatibility, emitter type or placement, wiring, and unsupported IR behavior can produce this symptom.
One or more outputs on a splitter or distribution amplifier can stop producing a clean signal while another output or loop-through remains functional. This points toward a failure localized to an output channel, connector, or amplification stage.
Digital-to-analog converter hardware can power on but deliver no usable analog audio. Input selection, unsupported or incorrectly negotiated digital audio formats, source configuration, cabling, or converter circuitry can be responsible.
Calrad AV extenders can fail to pass a signal between transmitter and receiver when required cable runs, paired connections, or power requirements are not satisfied. A failed transmitter, receiver, power source, or network cable can produce the same apparent no-link condition.
Calrad cable, adapter, and connector-based products can develop intermittent or lost continuity at plugs, jacks, terminations, or cable conductors. The resulting symptom can appear as intermittent audio/video, signal degradation, or complete loss of connectivity.
