Output Transistor Failure
Bryston 3B, 4B, 7B and related power amplifiers can develop shorted or degraded output transistors, resulting in a dead channel, distortion, excessive current draw, or protection activation. Aging associated power resistors may overheat or drift and contribute to output-stage problems.
