Boxlight repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Boxlight Corporation is an educational-technology manufacturer and solutions provider focused primarily on interactive classroom and collaborative learning systems. Through the Boxlight and Mimio product families, it develops and sells interactive flat-panel displays, interactive projectors, touch displays and whiteboards, document cameras, classroom audio systems, assessment devices, STEM products, and associated classroom software. Its products are particularly concentrated in K–12 schools, although they are also used by universities, businesses, government organizations, and other collaborative environments. Boxlight designs products to its own engineering specifications and intellectual property while relying extensively on ODM and OEM manufacturing partners. The company is especially known for Mimio interactive classroom technology and large-format interactive displays used for digital instruction and presentation.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Lamp Failure / No Projected Image

Projector powers on but produces no image or an extremely dim image because the projection lamp has reached end of life or fails to ignite. Boxlight troubleshooting specifically recommends substituting a known-good lamp to isolate this failure.

Overheating / Thermal Shutdown

Projectors unexpectedly shut down, display a temperature warning, or refuse to restart because of clogged filters, restricted airflow, cooling-fan problems, or excessive internal temperature. Persistent overheating after cleaning and cooling generally indicates an internal thermal or cooling-system fault requiring repair.

Touchscreen No-Touch Failure

ProColor and MimioDisplay panels display an image normally but stop responding to finger or stylus input. Common hardware-side causes include failed or obstructed touch sensors, USB-touch connection faults, bezel contamination, and problems in the touch-controller path.

Touch Calibration / Erratic Touch

Touch coordinates drift, calibration will not complete, or touches register at incorrect locations. Boxlight documentation repeatedly associates this with sensor obstruction or interference, calibration faults, IR/ultrasound sensor problems, and failing interactive hardware.

Power Failure / Will Not Start

Displays and projectors can become completely unresponsive with no backlight, sound, indicator lamps, or startup sequence. Documented causes include power-cord or AC-input problems, internal power circuitry faults, lamp-cover interlocks, and projector protection circuits.

Lamp Ballast / Ignition Circuit Failure

A known-good projector lamp still fails to strike because the ballast or lamp-driving circuitry cannot ignite or sustain the lamp. Boxlight specifically identifies internal ballast faults and ballast communication errors as repair-level projector failures.

Cooling Fan Failure

A failed or stalled internal fan triggers temperature warnings, shutdowns, or startup protection and can prevent the projector from operating. Boxlight projector diagnostics identify separate lamp, ballast, burner, and power-supply fan errors on applicable models.

USB Port / Connectivity Failure

Mimio document cameras, interactive boards, and touch hardware intermittently disconnect, fail to acquire an image, or disappear from the host computer because of USB connection problems. Boxlight specifically notes loose USB ports, defective cables, failed receivers, and connection hardware as recurring causes.

Video / Display Signal Failure

Boxlight panels and projectors may power normally while showing no signal, intermittent video, flashing images, stripes, or incorrect colors. Recurring causes include failing HDMI/VGA signal paths, connector faults, internal video electronics, and unstable input circuitry.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
