Blueair repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Blueair is a Swedish-founded air-quality equipment manufacturer established in 1996 and now owned by Unilever. The company specializes primarily in residential and light-commercial air purifiers, along with replacement filtration products and connected indoor-air-quality systems. Its product families have included Blue Pure, Classic, Protect, DustMagnet, Pro and related smart models for bedrooms, homes, offices, schools and other indoor environments. Blueair is particularly known for its proprietary HEPASilent™ technology, which combines mechanical and electrostatic filtration to achieve high particle-removal performance while reducing noise and energy use compared with conventional filtration approaches. Its products are Swedish-designed but manufactured in China and are sold internationally across consumer and commercial applications.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Clogged Filter / Restricted Airflow

Blueair purifiers commonly develop reduced airflow as the main filter or pre-filter loads with dust and debris. The restriction can lower cleaning performance, increase fan noise, and place additional load on the blower motor.

Excessive Fan Noise / Motor Noise

Rattling, buzzing, grinding, or unusually loud fan operation is a frequently documented Blueair issue, especially on Blue Pure, DustMagnet, Protect, and related models. Causes include dirty filters, debris near the fan, loose components, or deterioration of the fan motor/bearings.

Air Quality Sensor Incorrect / Stuck Reading

Particle or air-quality sensors can become contaminated with dust and begin reporting readings that remain permanently high, low, red, blue, or near zero. Blueair specifically recommends cleaning or vacuuming the sensor inlet when readings become static or inaccurate. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

Unit Will Not Power On

Blueair models can fail to start because of power-cord faults, internal power problems, improperly seated filters, enclosure interlocks, or other electrical faults. Blueair troubleshooting documentation repeatedly lists failure to start as a primary service symptom across Protect, DustMagnet, Classic Pro, and Blue Pure families.

Fan Not Running / No Airflow

A unit may illuminate normally but produce little or no airflow because the fan is obstructed, the filter is severely restricted, or the blower motor/control electronics have failed. Blueair instructs users to verify actual outlet airflow when diagnosing purifiers that appear powered but do not operate correctly.

Control Button / Touch Panel Not Responding

Fan-speed or control-panel buttons can stop responding because of control lock settings, firmware state, or control-interface faults. Blueair documents nonresponsive fan controls and recommends a reset when disabling Child Lock does not restore operation. :

Filter Indicator Will Not Reset

The red filter-replacement indicator may remain illuminated after a new filter is installed or fail to reset correctly. Blueair documents manual reset procedures across Blue Pure, Blue Pure Max, DustMagnet, and Classic Pro models, indicating this is a recurring operational fault condition.

Wi-Fi / App Connectivity Failure

Smart Blueair models can lose Wi-Fi communication, appear offline in the Blueair app, fail to reconnect after network changes, or become stuck during firmware updates. Reconnection, network changes, device removal/re-pairing, or factory reset are common corrective procedures documented by Blueair.

Poor Purification / Air Quality Not Improving

Blueair units may continue running while providing noticeably reduced purification because of saturated filters, blocked intake or exhaust paths, contaminated sensors, or degraded airflow. Blueair identifies clogged filters as the most common reason an air purifier loses effectiveness.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
