Blizzard Lighting repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Blizzard Lighting is a U.S.-based professional entertainment-lighting manufacturer and importer founded in 2010. The company develops and sells LED stage and theatrical lighting equipment including moving-head fixtures, wash lights, battens and bars, ellipsoidals, pixel-mapping effects, strobes, wireless DMX/control products, architectural lighting, and its IRiS LED video-wall systems. Blizzard states that product engineering, development, technical support, repair, and 100% quality-control testing are handled from its Wisconsin operation, while trade records show much of the physical manufacturing is performed by contract manufacturers in China. Its equipment is aimed primarily at live production, touring, theaters, houses of worship, DJs, fixed installations, and entertainment venues.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Cooling Fan Failure / Thermal Shutdown

Internal cooling fans can slow, seize, or become obstructed, causing the fixture to overheat and automatically shut down. Blizzard repeatedly identifies fan operation as a primary cause of thermal shutdown across multiple LED fixture families.

Power Supply / No-Power Failure

Fixtures may become completely dead because of failed internal power supplies, blown fuses, damaged AC input circuitry, or associated power components. Blizzard's support database specifically includes power-supply replacement procedures, and "No Power" appears repeatedly in its product troubleshooting documentation.

DMX Communication Failure

Fixtures can stop responding to DMX, respond intermittently, or behave erratically because of failed DMX transceivers, damaged XLR connectors, internal control-board faults, or signal-path problems. Erratic or absent DMX response is one of the most consistently documented Blizzard troubleshooting symptoms.

LED Driver / No Light Output Failure

A fixture may power up normally while producing no light because the LED driver circuitry or associated control electronics have failed. Blizzard manuals repeatedly distinguish "No Light Output" from complete power loss, indicating a recurring output-stage fault category.

LED Color Channel Failure

Individual red, green, blue, white, amber, or UV channels may become weak, intermittent, or completely dark while the remaining colors continue operating. The symptom is common to multi-die LED fixtures and may result from failed LED emitters, driver channels, solder joints, or control circuitry.

Battery Capacity / Charging Failure

Battery-powered models such as SkyBox and TOURNado fixtures can develop shortened runtime, failure to hold a charge, or charging-system problems as lithium-ion packs age. Blizzard maintains dedicated support guidance specifically addressing SkyBox/TOURNado battery life and battery warranty concerns.

Control Panel / Display Failure

Rear-panel displays, touchscreens, buttons, or associated controller electronics may become intermittent or unresponsive, preventing normal configuration of DMX addresses and operating modes. Blizzard's support knowledge base specifically documents touchscreen intermittence among known service topics.

Pan / Tilt Motor or Positioning Failure

Moving-head and scanner fixtures can develop slow, erratic, stuck, or inaccurate movement from stepper motors, motor drivers, wiring, mechanical restrictions, or position-sensing components. Blizzard manuals repeatedly list slow or abnormal movement as a troubleshooting condition on motorized models.

Housing / Mechanical Enclosure Failure

Plastic fixture housings, mounts, and related mechanical components can crack or deteriorate from heat, handling, or repeated transport. A documented LB PAR Hex field report describes cracked enclosures on multiple units, along with heat-related odor and noticeable fan operation.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
