BISSELL repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

BISSELL is a family-owned American manufacturer specializing in household floor-care and cleaning equipment. Founded in 1876, the company grew from its original mechanical carpet sweeper into a major global cleaning-products brand. Its product portfolio includes upright, stick, handheld and robotic vacuum cleaners; portable and upright carpet/deep cleaners; wet-dry floor cleaners such as the CrossWave line; steam cleaners; hard-floor cleaning systems; air purifiers; and specialized cleaning formulas. BISSELL is particularly known for carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment, pet-focused cleaning products, portable spot cleaners such as the Little Green family, and integrated wet/dry floor-cleaning machines. The company describes itself as a manufacturer of floor-care products and operates internationally through a combination of its own operations and global finished-goods suppliers.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No or Low Suction

Vacuum airflow becomes weak or disappears because of clogged filters, obstructed air passages, damaged hoses, improperly seated dirt tanks, or suction-motor faults. This is common across BISSELL upright, stick, handheld, and wet/dry models.

Brush Roll Not Spinning

The powered brush stops rotating because of hair or debris buildup, seized brush bearings, damaged brush-roll ends, worn drive gears, belt failure, or a brush motor fault. Some BISSELL models shut down or display an error when excessive brush resistance is detected.

No or Low Water Spray

Carpet cleaners and wet/dry machines stop dispensing cleaning solution because of blocked spray tips, an unprimed or failed pump, clogged tubing, damaged tank valves, or poorly seated clean-water tanks. CrossWave, SpotClean, Little Green, and ProHeat families commonly have dedicated troubleshooting for this condition.

Water or Solution Leaking

Clean or dirty water escapes from the machine because of cracked tanks, damaged seals, duckbill gaskets, tank valves, hoses, pumps, or internal fittings. Leakage can occur from the base, tank area, vents, hose connections, or internal fluid system.

Battery Will Not Charge or Hold Charge

Cordless BISSELL models may stop charging, run only briefly, or show battery error lights because of degraded lithium-ion cells, battery-management faults, charger problems, or poor battery connections. Severe battery degradation can also cause the machine to appear completely dead.

No Power or Intermittent Shutdown

The machine will not start or unexpectedly shuts off because of battery faults, electrical connection problems, thermal protection, airflow blockages, brush-roll overloads, switch faults, or motor/control-board problems. Some models intentionally shut down when a brush or airflow obstruction is detected.

Drive Belt Broken or Slipping

Brushes stop turning or operate inconsistently when a rubber drive belt stretches, slips, overheats, or snaps. Belt damage is especially associated with brush jams, seized rollers, and heavily loaded carpet-cleaner brush assemblies.

Poor Dirty-Water Pickup

Wet cleaners leave excessive water behind when recovery airflow is restricted, the dirty-water tank is improperly seated, the float has activated, seals are leaking, the nozzle is blocked, or the suction path is damaged. The machine may still dispense solution normally while recovering very little liquid.

Pump, Valve, or Fluid-Line Failure

Internal pumps, solenoid valves, tank valves, fittings, or solution tubing can fail and prevent correct water flow. Symptoms commonly include no spray, intermittent spray, continuous leaking, or water draining through the machine as soon as the clean-water tank is installed.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
