Biamp repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Biamp is a U.S.-based professional audiovisual equipment manufacturer founded in 1976, specializing in integrated audio, video, conferencing, control, paging, sound-masking, and room-management systems. Its product portfolio includes Tesira digital signal processors, Parlé beamtracking microphones and conferencing bars, Vocia networked paging and voice-communication systems, Voltera amplifiers, Desono and Community loudspeakers, Cambridge sound-masking systems, Impera control products, and Evoko room/desk scheduling systems. Biamp equipment is widely installed in corporate meeting spaces, universities, government facilities, courtrooms, hospitals, transportation facilities, performing-arts venues, stadiums, retail environments, and hospitality sites. The company is particularly known for professional audio DSP and networked AV infrastructure, and it manages much of its product design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing internally.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Network / AVB Communication Failure

Tesira processors, expanders, and amplifiers may lose network discovery or AVB communication, causing connected devices or audio streams to disappear. Faults commonly include inactive AVB streams, unreachable expanders, and network-card communication errors.

No Audio / Audio Stream Dropout

Biamp hardware may remain powered and visible while audio stops passing through one or more channels. Causes include inactive network streams, stopped DSP audio, amplifier communication loss, configuration faults, or firmware-related audio interruptions.

Amplifier Channel Protection / Short Circuit

Tesira amplifiers can place individual channels into protection when excessive current, shorted speaker wiring, abnormal impedance, or transformer saturation is detected. The affected channel may mute, attenuate heavily, or report a major channel fault.

Overheating / Thermal Shutdown

Amplifier channels, power supplies, or the entire amplifier can report excessive-temperature faults and reduce or stop output. Restricted airflow, heavy loads, contaminated cooling paths, or fan-related cooling limitations can contribute to repeated thermal protection.

DSP or Internal Card Boot Failure

Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO systems can experience DSP, audio I/O, AVB, VoIP, AEC, or other internal cards failing to boot or communicate. These failures commonly generate major faults and can remove the affected processing or I/O from the system.

USB Audio Failure / Device Not Recognized

TesiraFORTÉ and related USB-equipped hardware may fail to enumerate correctly, stop passing USB audio, or lose multichannel communication after a connected computer reboots. Driver, operating-system, USB-extension, configuration, and firmware issues are frequent causes.

Clock Synchronization Failure

Tesira systems can develop media-clock or AVB synchronization faults that interrupt or corrupt networked audio. Problems may arise from network timing, clock-master changes, incompatible switching infrastructure, or firmware behavior.

Power / Amplifier PSU Fault

Biamp hardware may fail to power normally or report power-supply-related amplifier faults, resulting in shutdown, intermittent operation, or loss of audio output. Amplifier systems also monitor excessive device or channel power demand and may enter protection when limits are exceeded.

Firmware / Device Communication Lockup

Tesira processors, amplifiers, front panels, or connected peripherals can become unresponsive or stop communicating even though power and status indicators appear normal. Biamp firmware releases have specifically addressed amplifier communication loss, unresponsive front panels, network disconnects, USB failures, and related lockups.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
