Bezzera repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Bezzera is a historic Italian manufacturer specializing in professional, semi-professional, and residential espresso machines and coffee grinders. Its origins date to 1901, when Luigi Bezzera patented an early espresso coffee machine, and the company remains closely associated with the development of the Italian espresso-bar system. Today Bezzera manufactures its machines in Rosate using extensive in-house metalworking, CNC machining, boiler production, assembly, R&D, and testing capabilities. Its range spans commercial Ho.Re.Ca. machines, specialty-coffee systems, prosumer/home espresso machines, and grinders, with products exported through a dealer network to roughly 50 countries. The brand is particularly known for traditional Italian espresso-machine engineering, stainless-steel construction, heat-exchanger and dual-boiler platforms, and long-running models such as the BZ series, Magica, Matrix, Duo, Strega, and Victoria.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Group Head Gasket Leakage

The group-head gasket hardens, wears, or becomes scale-encrusted, allowing water to leak around the portafilter during extraction. Worn gaskets can also cause abnormal portafilter locking position and difficulty maintaining a proper seal.

Low or No Pump Pressure

Vibration or rotary pumps can weaken or fail, causing slow flow, low brew pressure, noisy operation, or complete loss of water delivery. Bezzera documentation also identifies pump pressure below approximately 9 bar as a cause of poor extraction.

Three-Way Solenoid Valve Failure

The brew solenoid can stick, become contaminated, or suffer internal seal failure, resulting in leakage into the drip tray or pressure remaining trapped after a shot. Recurring BZ10 reports specifically document damaged solenoid seals and failure to release group pressure.

Heating Element Failure

Boiler heating elements can burn out or develop electrical leakage, leaving the machine unable to heat or causing an RCD/GFCI breaker to trip during heating. Replacement of the element is a repeatedly documented repair on Bezzera machines.

Pressurestat Failure

The boiler pressure switch can stick, drift, or operate intermittently, producing excessive, insufficient, or fluctuating boiler pressure. Scale contamination of the pressurestat can also lead to overheating and activation of the safety thermostat.

Scale-Restricted Water Flow

Mineral buildup can obstruct group passages, shower screens, valves, boiler plumbing, and other small water passages, causing weak or completely restricted flow. Bezzera manuals repeatedly identify a scaled water circuit or clogged group components as causes of poor temperature and low water delivery.

Steam Valve or Steam Wand Leakage

Steam valves and their internal seals can wear or loosen, causing continuous dripping or steam leakage even when the valve is closed. Steam-tip blockage from dried milk residue is also a frequently documented cause of weak or absent steam output.

Anti-Vacuum or Safety Valve Leakage

A failing anti-vacuum or boiler safety valve can continuously vent steam or water, sometimes appearing as steam escaping from the top of the machine or leakage during warm-up. Repair specialists commonly address this by cleaning or replacing the affected valve.

High-Limit Thermostat / Heating Control Failure

The safety thermostat can trip and prevent the boiler from heating, while faulty wiring, relays, water-level controls, or electronic control boards can produce similar no-heat symptoms. Some Bezzera models require thermostat reset, while failed heating-control components require replacement.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
