AVPro Edge repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

AVPro Edge is a professional audio/video electronics manufacturer and a brand of AVPro Global Holdings, focused primarily on signal distribution, connectivity, and system-integration hardware for residential and commercial AV installations. Its product portfolio includes HDMI and HDBaseT extenders, HDMI matrix switchers, AV-over-IP encoders/decoders and network hardware, video-wall processors, distribution amplifiers, scalers, USB extenders, audio matrices, converters, and other integration equipment. The company is particularly associated with high-bandwidth 4K/8K video distribution, HDMI interoperability, long-distance signal extension, and AV-over-IP systems such as MXnet. AVPro says it designs, engineers, and manufactures its products while controlling component selection and production through its Shenzhen manufacturing operation, with products aimed primarily at professional AV integrators and custom-installation environments.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Intermittent or No HDMI Video

Units may produce a black screen, no signal, or video that repeatedly disappears even though the source and display remain powered. HDMI input/output circuitry, handshake processing, firmware, or signal-integrity problems are common causes.

HDMI Handshake / HDCP Failure

AVPro Edge hardware can fail to establish or maintain HDCP communication between sources, matrices, extenders, AVRs, and displays. Symptoms include black screens, delayed video acquisition, green or purple images, and video loss after source switching.

HDBaseT Link Dropout

Extenders and HDBaseT matrix outputs may develop unstable category-cable links, causing intermittent video, flashing screens, or complete loss of signal. Marginal link quality, degraded RJ45 connections, transmitter/receiver circuitry, or HDBaseT PHY problems can produce the failure.

EDID Detection or Synchronization Failure

The unit may incorrectly read, store, or communicate a display's EDID, resulting in no video, incorrect resolution, lost HDR capability, or signal dropout when content changes. Extenders and matrix switchers are especially susceptible to EDID-related compatibility problems.

Video Artifacts / Green Screen

Affected units may output sparkles, snow, flashing, chroma errors, contour artifacts, abnormal colors, or a persistent green screen. Problems can originate in HDMI receiver/transmitter ICs, FPGA/video-processing circuitry, signal integrity, or firmware.

Audio Loss or Invalid Audio Output

Video may remain functional while HDMI, extracted analog, optical, ARC/eARC, or embedded audio disappears or becomes incompatible. Audio-processing firmware, HDMI audio decoding, output binding, and receiver compatibility are recurring problem areas.

Matrix or Control Interface Lockup

Matrix switchers can become unresponsive to IP, web-interface, serial, or third-party automation commands and may also stop routing video correctly until rebooted. Network MCU, control firmware, driver interaction, or main-processor lockup are typical causes.

Source Switching Failure

Changing inputs can produce prolonged black screens, failed video reacquisition, incorrect output timing, or loss of video on one or more matrix outputs. HDMI switching circuitry and firmware handling of rapid resolution, color-space, HDR, or HDCP changes are common contributors.

Power / PoE Startup Failure

Transmitters, receivers, and other AVPro Edge hardware may fail to power, repeatedly reboot, or fail to power a remote HDBaseT endpoint. Suspected faults include external power supplies, PoE/PoH circuitry, DC regulation stages, connectors, or internal power-management components.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
