Avinair is a professional audio/video electronics brand launched by Draco Broadcast in 2014. It specializes primarily in video signal-management and connectivity hardware, including HDMI and VGA splitters, matrix switchers, KVM switches, video converters, CAT-cable HDMI extenders, wireless video systems, FPV monitors, and compact projectors. Its Spitfire and Spitfire Pro product families are particularly associated with distributing, converting, switching, and extending high-definition video signals for broadcast, commercial AV, presentation, education, and home-theater applications. Avinair products are manufactured under Draco Broadcast, with available product documentation consistently identifying China as the country of origin.
Avinair splitters, switchers, extenders, and converters may fail to power on because of defective external power adapters, damaged DC input jacks, failed voltage regulators, or power-supply circuitry faults. Units typically show no LEDs and provide no video output.
The device powers on but produces no picture from one or more HDMI outputs. Common hardware causes include damaged HDMI connectors, failed HDMI receiver/transmitter ICs, ESD damage, or faults in the internal signal-processing circuitry.
Video repeatedly cuts out, flickers, or temporarily loses synchronization during operation. Aging HDMI interface components, unstable power rails, damaged connectors, or degrading high-speed signal circuitry are typical hardware causes.
One or more outputs on multi-output Spitfire splitters or matrix units stop functioning while other outputs continue to operate normally. This commonly points to a failed HDMI output driver, damaged port, ESD protection component, or localized PCB fault.
Avinair CAT5e/6 extender transmitter and receiver pairs may fail to establish a stable link, leaving the remote display without video. Failed RJ45 magnetics, line-driver circuitry, damaged connectors, or transmitter/receiver electronics can cause the link indicator to remain off or unstable.
The source and display fail to establish a valid HDMI connection, causing a blank screen, unsupported-resolution behavior, or repeated signal cycling. Faults involving EDID memory, HDMI processing ICs, HDCP communication circuitry, or corrupted configuration data can produce these symptoms.
HDMI switchers and matrix products may stop changing inputs, become stuck on one source, or fail to recognize certain input ports. Common hardware causes include failed switching ICs, damaged front-panel controls, IR receiver circuitry, or microcontroller-related faults.
Models with HDMI audio extraction may continue displaying video while analog or digital audio outputs become silent, intermittent, or distorted. Failed DACs, S/PDIF drivers, audio-processing ICs, output jacks, or supporting power circuitry are frequent component-level causes.
Avinair projectors such as the AVPJ-MP7S and F30 may power on but display a dim image, no image, abnormal colors, or unstable illumination. Typical hardware faults include LED light-source degradation, LED driver failure, overheating, cooling-fan problems, LCD/DLP imaging-path faults, or power-board defects.
