Avenview repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Avenview is a professional audiovisual equipment manufacturer founded in 1997 that develops hardware for managing, processing, extending, converting, switching, and distributing video signals. Its product portfolio includes video-wall processors, HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort and HDBaseT extenders, video-over-IP systems, matrix switchers, multiviewers, scalers, converters, splitters, presentation switchers, fiber-optic AV equipment, digital-signage solutions, and control systems. The company primarily serves AV system integrators and installations such as digital signage, command-and-control environments, education, medical applications, commercial displays, and other multi-screen or long-distance signal-distribution systems. Avenview is particularly associated with professional video-wall, signal-extension, matrix-switching, and video-processing hardware, including 4K/HDMI and IP-based AV distribution products.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Video Output / No Signal

The unit powers on but produces no image at the connected display. Common hardware-side causes include failed HDMI input/output circuitry, damaged connectors, receiver/transmitter electronics, or loss of signal-path synchronization.

Power Supply / No Power Failure

The Avenview unit is completely dead or its power/status indicator remains off. Typical causes include a failed external AC/DC adapter, damaged DC jack, internal voltage-regulation circuitry, or power-distribution components.

HDMI Port / Connector Failure

One or more HDMI inputs or outputs become intermittent or stop passing video and audio. Repeated cable insertion, connector wear, cracked solder joints, damaged ESD components, or HDMI interface circuitry can cause the affected port to fail while other ports continue operating.

EDID / HDMI Handshake Failure

The source and display fail to establish a stable video connection, resulting in no image, flashing video, incorrect resolution, or repeated synchronization attempts. Faults may involve EDID memory, DDC communication circuitry, HDMI transceivers, or corrupted configuration data.

CAT5e/CAT6 Link Failure

HDBaseT or HDMI-over-CAT transmitters and receivers lose their link or fail to pass video across the network cable. Failed RJ45 connectors, Ethernet magnetics, HDBaseT transceiver circuitry, PoE damage, or degraded line-driver components are common hardware suspects.

Intermittent / Flickering Video

The displayed image repeatedly drops out, flashes, shows artifacts, or loses synchronization. HDMI equalization circuitry, marginal transmitter/receiver ICs, damaged ports, power instability, or deteriorating signal-path components can produce this behavior.

PoE Power Failure

A PoE-powered receiver or extender fails to start, repeatedly resets, or loses operation even though the network connection is present. Likely hardware faults include damaged PoE input circuitry, DC/DC converters, protection components, or power-management ICs.

Control Interface Failure

The unit stops responding to front-panel buttons, IR commands, RS-232, Ethernet, or other control interfaces even though video may still pass. Failures can originate in the control processor, communication transceivers, IR circuitry, front-panel electronics, or corrupted firmware/storage devices.

Audio Output Failure

Video remains present but HDMI, analog, or extracted digital audio is missing, distorted, or intermittent. Common hardware causes include failed HDMI audio-processing circuitry, DAC/audio extraction stages, damaged output connectors, or faults in the associated power rails.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
