Power Supply Failure
A PSU fails, loses its input source, produces faulty output, or is no longer detected by the chassis. Affected models can report power-supply alarms, lose redundancy, or fail to power on.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
AudioCodes Ltd. is an Israeli communications technology OEM specializing in enterprise voice, VoIP, unified communications, and VoiceAI infrastructure. The company develops hardware, software, and cloud/managed solutions that connect, secure, and manage business voice communications across IP, cloud, and legacy telephone networks. Its best-known physical products include the Mediant family of session border controllers and media gateways, MediaPack analog gateways, and 400HD-series IP phones. These products enable organizations and telecom/service providers to connect SIP trunks, PBXs, PSTN/analog equipment, contact centers, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, RingCentral and Webex. AudioCodes is particularly known for SBCs and gateways that provide interoperability, security, voice-quality management, and migration between legacy telephony and modern IP/cloud communications.

One or more cooling fans stop, run below the expected speed, or an entire fan-tray module fails or becomes undetectable. Reduced airflow can subsequently cause temperature alarms and hardware shutdowns.
Internal chassis, CPU, DSP, or analog-port temperatures exceed their permitted operating thresholds. Common contributing conditions include failed fans, obstructed ventilation, dust buildup, saturated filters, or excessive ambient temperature.
Analog telephony ports can become faulty or enter an out-of-service state because of electrical, interface, or module-level hardware faults. Failures can affect an individual port or multiple ports on an analog blade/module.
The internal Serial Peripheral Interface connection to an analog port can be lost, causing the affected FXS/FXO interface to become unavailable or out of service. AudioCodes hardware automatically attempts to return the port to service when the SPI connection recovers.
An FXS port can detect a ground fault or electrical short and automatically shut itself down for protection. The port normally attempts to return to service after the electrical fault disappears.
One or more Digital Signal Processor cores can fail hardware diagnostics, including failures detected during device boot. DSP faults can disrupt media processing and, on high-density analog products, place multiple FXS ports or an entire blade out of service.
Digital trunk interfaces can lose physical synchronization because of Loss of Signal or Loss of Frame conditions, with AIS and RAI alarms also indicating trunk-layer problems. Cabling, external carrier equipment, or the physical trunk interface can be responsible.
A removable FXS, FXO, or interface module can become faulty, improperly seated, mismatched with the CPU board, or suffer a blade-level CPU/DSP failure. Depending on the model, this can disable multiple telephony ports simultaneously and may require module servicing or replacement.
