Audinate Dante repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Audinate Group Limited is an Australian audio-visual technology company best known as the developer of Dante, a widely adopted AV-over-IP networking platform used to transport professional audio, video and control signals over standard Ethernet/IP networks. Rather than primarily manufacturing finished speakers, mixers or cameras itself, Audinate supplies chips, modules, embedded software and licensing technology that OEM manufacturers integrate into professional AV equipment. It also produces its own Dante AVIO adapters and provides software and cloud services for AV network configuration, management, device control and remote production. Dante is integrated into more than 5,000 products from over 500 OEM brands, with applications spanning live sound, broadcast, corporate AV, education and government installations.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Firmware Corruption / Failsafe Mode

The hardware fails to boot normally and enters failsafe mode when its stored firmware image becomes corrupted, sometimes following an interrupted or failed firmware update. The device may appear in red in Dante Controller and require failsafe recovery or manufacturer service.

Device Not Detected on Network

The Dante hardware disappears from or intermittently appears in Dante Controller, preventing normal configuration and audio routing. Common associated causes include network-interface problems, incorrect IP configuration, cabling faults, switch configuration, or a non-responsive Dante module.

Clock Synchronization Failure

The hardware loses synchronization with the Dante network leader clock or exhibits unstable clock behavior. Loss of synchronization can cause the device to automatically mute and interrupt audio until stable clocking is restored.

Audio Dropouts / Packet Loss

Audio develops intermittent gaps, clicks, cracks, or other interruptions when network packets arrive too late or are lost. Insufficient receive latency, overloaded links, faulty cabling, and network configuration problems are common contributing conditions.

No Audio Despite Established Route

A Dante subscription may appear established while the hardware produces or receives no usable audio. Sample-rate incompatibility, missing source audio, incompatible RTP/AES67 settings, or configuration problems can produce this symptom.

Subscription / Route Failure

The hardware cannot establish one or more requested Dante audio subscriptions, resulting in warning or error indicators. Typical causes include incompatible channel formats, unavailable transmitters, locked devices, insufficient bandwidth, or incompatible clock domains.

Transmit or Receive Flow Exhaustion

A Dante module reaches its supported limit for transmit or receive network flows even though unused audio channels may remain. Additional unicast subscriptions then fail with "No more flows" or "No Receive flows" errors until routing is consolidated or multicast is used.

Sample Rate / Audio Format Mismatch

Communication between Dante hardware fails when transmitting and receiving devices use incompatible sample rates, pull-up/down settings, or channel formats. Routes may be unavailable, fail after creation, or remain present without passing audio.

Ethernet Link / Physical Connectivity Failure

The hardware loses reliable network connectivity because of disconnected, damaged, or poorly terminated Ethernet cabling or related link problems. Symptoms include missing devices, intermittent appearance in Dante Controller, unsuccessful subscriptions, and dropped audio.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most Audinate Dante devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
