Audient repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Audient Limited is a British professional-audio equipment designer and manufacturer founded in 1997. The company develops recording and studio hardware for professional engineers, musicians, content creators and home studios, with a product portfolio centered on USB/Thunderbolt audio interfaces, analogue recording consoles, microphone preamplifiers, monitor controllers and room/immersive-audio systems. Its major product families include the iD, EVO and Horizon audio interfaces, ASP-series microphone preamps and analogue consoles, and ORIA/NERO monitoring products. Audient is particularly known for bringing the microphone-preamp and analogue-circuit design heritage of its large-format recording consoles into more accessible desktop audio interfaces. Its flagship analogue consoles are assembled at its Hampshire, England facility, while multiple volume-production electronic products are manufactured in China.

2 Most Seen Failures:

[USB Connection Dropouts / Device Disconnects]

The interface intermittently disconnects, disappears from the operating system, or stops passing audio, particularly after sleep or extended idle periods. Reports commonly involve USB power management, insufficient USB power, cables, hubs, or unstable USB connections.

[Crackling, Popping, or Digital Audio Noise]

Playback or recording develops clicks, pops, crackling, static, or intermittent digital distortion. Common associated causes include buffer settings, firmware or driver issues, USB instability, sample-rate mismatches, electrical interference, and occasionally apparent hardware faults.

[No Audio Output]

The interface powers on and may be recognized by the computer but produces no sound through the monitor or headphone outputs. Routing, operating-system device selection, mixer configuration, USB communication, and driver problems are frequent causes.

[Input Channel Produces No Signal]

One or more microphone or instrument inputs fail to register an incoming signal. Phantom-power configuration, gain settings, cables, input selection, DI switching, and potentially faulty input circuitry can produce this symptom.

[Driver / Control Software Communication Failure]

The Audient iD or EVO software fails to detect or communicate correctly with the interface, may crash, or may fail to display its mixer. Corrupted configuration files, driver conflicts, installation problems, firmware, and USB communication faults are recurring causes.

[USB Power / Power-On Failure]

The interface fails to power up reliably, loses its USB/status indicator, or behaves abnormally because adequate bus power is unavailable. USB ports, hubs, cables, and host devices that cannot provide the required current are common contributors.

[Headphone Output Noise or Malfunction]

Users report crackling, static, distortion, unexpectedly low output, or abnormal behavior specifically through the headphone connection. The symptom can originate from firmware, USB/power conditions, adapters, routing, interference, or the headphone-output path itself.

[Sample-Rate / Clock Synchronization Failure]

Audio becomes unavailable, distorted, intermittent, or fails on digital inputs when the interface, operating system, DAW, or external digital device is operating at incompatible sample rates or clock settings. Audient specifically documents clock-source and ADAT/S/PDIF synchronization problems on models with digital expansion.

[Phantom Power / Microphone Power Problems]

Condenser microphones produce no signal or inadequate output when +48 V phantom power is unavailable, disabled, or the interface is not receiving sufficient power. This is particularly relevant to bus-powered configurations and older Audient models whose phantom-power capability depends on their external supply.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
