Ascaso repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Ascaso is a Spanish manufacturer specializing in premium espresso machines and coffee grinders for both residential and professional/commercial environments. Based in Gavà in the Barcelona area, the company designs and manufactures products ranging from the Dream, Steel and Baby T home espresso machines to commercial systems such as the Barista T, Big Dream, Bar and Bar Mini, along with H64 and P74 grinders. Ascaso is particularly known for combining Barcelona-influenced industrial design and traditional craftsmanship with modern thermoblock/multiblock espresso technology emphasizing temperature stability, rapid warm-up and reduced energy consumption. Its equipment is sold internationally, with Ascaso reporting a presence in more than 95 countries.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Steam System Loses Pressure / No Steam

Steam output becomes weak, intermittent, or disappears entirely, particularly on Steel DUO PID and Dream PID machines. Common causes include a blocked steam circuit, failed steam solenoid/valve, tripped thermostat, scale buildup, or deterioration of steam-side tubing.

Steam-Circuit Hose / Tube Failure

Internal PTFE or high-pressure steam tubing can split, leak, or rupture, causing loss of steam pressure and sometimes water inside or underneath the machine. Ascaso USA specifically documents replacement of the PTFE steam-pump tubing with a stainless-steel hose on affected Steel DUO machines.

Brew Pump Failure / No Water Flow

The vibration pump may hum or operate audibly while producing little or no water through the grouphead. Pump deterioration, loss of prime, obstruction, air locking, or related hydraulic faults can cause intermittent or complete loss of brewing flow.

OPV / Pressure-Regulation Failure

The over-pressure valve can become noisy, leak, return excessive water to the reservoir, or prevent the machine from maintaining normal extraction pressure. Affected machines may exhibit chirping/screeching noises, unusually low brew pressure, or water leaking beneath the chassis.

Grouphead Gasket Leakage

Water escapes around the portafilter during extraction as the group gasket hardens, deforms, cracks, or becomes improperly seated. This is a common wear-related fault and generally becomes progressively worse until the gasket is replaced.

Thermoblock / Heating Failure

The machine fails to reach the commanded brew or steam temperature, heats very slowly, or produces coffee at an abnormally low temperature. Heating-element, thermoblock, thermostat, relay, or thermal-protection faults are typical hardware causes.

Temperature Sensor / PID Errors

Failed or unstable temperature probes and their associated circuitry can produce incorrect temperature readings, inability to regulate heat, or PID error codes such as E02 and E04. Ascaso also identifies E03/E05 for coffee- and steam-heat-exchanger faults and E98 for an internal electronic fault.

Flowmeter / E01 Volumetric Control Failure

Machines may display E01, stop programmed dosing, or behave unpredictably when the volumetric-control system cannot correctly detect water flow. Causes can include air in the hydraulic circuit, restricted water flow, a malfunctioning flowmeter, wiring/connectivity problems, or related control faults.

Scale / Hydraulic Circuit Blockage

Mineral deposits progressively restrict thermoblocks, valves, group passages, steam circuits, and small-diameter tubing, resulting in slow or absent water flow and weak steam performance. Severe buildup can also place additional load on pumps and valves and mimic more serious component failures.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
