Arturia repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Arturia is a French music-technology manufacturer founded in Grenoble in 1999, specializing in electronic musical instruments and professional music-production tools. Its hardware portfolio includes analog and digital synthesizers, MIDI keyboard controllers, sequencers, drum machines, and AudioFuse audio interfaces, alongside an extensive software business producing virtual synthesizers, instruments, effects, and emulations of classic studio hardware. Arturia is particularly known for its MiniBrute, MicroBrute, MatrixBrute, MicroFreak and MiniFreak synthesizers; KeyLab, MiniLab, KeyStep and BeatStep controllers/sequencers; AudioFuse interfaces; and V Collection software instruments. Product design, R&D, software development, and much of the testing are centered in France, while hardware mass production is outsourced to Asia. The company sells internationally in roughly 55 countries and has grown into one of France's major electronic musical-instrument companies.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Encoder / Rotary Control Jitter or Failure

Rotary encoders develop erratic response, skipped values, reverse movement, or stop registering entirely. The problem is particularly reported on KeyLab and MiniLab controllers and can result from contaminated/worn encoder contacts or internal control-board faults.

Intermittent or Non-Responsive Keys

Individual keys may stop triggering, respond intermittently, produce incorrect velocity, or fail to transmit Note Off messages and cause stuck notes. Key-contact contamination, worn conductive contacts, keybed connections, and scanning-circuit faults are common hardware suspects.

USB Port / Connection Failure

Arturia hardware may intermittently disconnect, fail to enumerate, or lose communication when the USB connector or cable is disturbed. Worn or damaged USB sockets and their PCB solder connections are especially relevant on heavily used controllers and AudioFuse interfaces.

Power-Up / No-Power Failure

Devices may fail to boot, remain on a startup screen, repeatedly cycle LEDs, or appear completely dead despite the correct supply being connected. Reported cases across synthesizers and interfaces point toward power-input circuitry, USB/power connections, firmware corruption, or internal power-rail faults.

Fader / Potentiometer Erratic Output

Faders and potentiometers can become noisy, jump between values, skip portions of their range, or change parameters without being touched. Dust or oxidation on resistive tracks, mechanical wear, and defective control components are typical causes.

Pads / Buttons Stop Responding

Performance pads, transport switches, function buttons, and other panel controls may become intermittent or completely non-responsive. Repeated mechanical use can degrade switch contacts, conductive pads, membranes, or the associated control-board connections.

MIDI / DAW Communication Failure

Controllers can stop transmitting expected MIDI messages, lose DAW control, produce stuck notes, or have transport and controls behave incorrectly. Firmware, configuration, USB communication, and occasionally defective controller hardware can all produce similar symptoms.

Display / Front-Panel Failure

OLED/LCD displays may remain blank, freeze during startup, fail to update with control movements, or operate while the rest of the front panel becomes unresponsive. Failures can originate in firmware but persistent cases may involve display modules, ribbon connections, control boards, or power rails.

Audio Output / Noise Failure

Arturia synthesizers and AudioFuse interfaces can develop missing audio, intermittent output, excessive noise, crackling, hum, or output that disappears until the unit is restarted. Depending on the model, causes range from firmware/interface instability to analog output circuitry, power-supply, grounding, or connector faults.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
