Arlo repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Arlo Technologies is a smart-security technology company specializing in connected residential and small-business security systems. Its hardware portfolio centers on wireless and wired security cameras, video doorbells, floodlight cameras and related smart-security devices, integrated with the Arlo cloud platform, mobile apps, AI/computer-vision features, video storage and paid security subscriptions. Arlo originated within NETGEAR before becoming an independent publicly traded company in 2018. The company primarily designs its products in North America while outsourcing physical production to Asian ODM partners. Since launching its first product in 2014, Arlo reported shipping more than 42.7 million smart-security devices and reaching approximately 12.1 million registered accounts and 5.7 million paid accounts by the end of 2025.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Camera Offline / Repeated Wi-Fi Disconnects

Camera unexpectedly goes offline or repeatedly loses its Wi-Fi/SmartHub connection, preventing live viewing and recording. Common contributing faults include weak wireless connectivity, power instability, network-interface problems, or failure of the camera to maintain communication with the base station.

Rapid Battery Drain / Poor Battery Runtime

Battery-powered cameras and video doorbells discharge substantially faster than expected, sometimes requiring frequent recharging even when hardwired for trickle charging. High recording activity, poor wireless signal, temperature extremes, aging batteries, and power-management conditions can contribute to accelerated depletion.

Battery Will Not Charge

Camera or doorbell battery fails to charge, charges intermittently, or does not recognize the connected charger. Frequent causes include contaminated or corroded contacts, defective batteries, damaged USB/magnetic charging connections, failed internal charging circuitry, or incompatible power adapters.

Motion Detection Failure

Camera remains operational and can livestream but fails to trigger reliably when people or objects move through the monitored area. Problems can involve PIR motion sensing, low battery condition, sensitivity/configuration issues, positioning, or communication failures that prevent detected events from being processed or recorded.

Night Vision / Infrared Failure

Nighttime footage appears completely dark, excessively bright, hazy, or otherwise unusable because the IR illumination or night-vision system is not functioning correctly. IR LED problems, sensor switching issues, reflections, nearby infrared sources, and environmental contamination can produce similar symptoms.

Camera Will Not Power On

Camera remains completely unresponsive with no status LED, network connection, or video output despite an apparent power source. Likely hardware faults include depleted or failed batteries, damaged power connectors, defective adapters/cables, internal power-management circuitry, or main-board failure.

Camera Will Not Pair / Sync

Camera powers up but cannot be discovered, paired, or synchronized with Wi-Fi, an Arlo SmartHub, or a Base Station. Failures may originate from the wireless radio, sync circuitry, low battery/power conditions, firmware state, or the SmartHub/Base Station communication hardware.

SmartHub / Base Station Offline

Arlo SmartHub or Base Station loses its Internet connection or becomes unreachable, taking associated cameras offline or preventing synchronization. Common fault areas include the Ethernet interface, power supply, network circuitry, firmware state, or failure of the hub/base-station electronics.

Foggy, Tinted, or Distorted Camera Image

Video develops haze, condensation, abnormal pink/red coloration, poor contrast, or persistent image distortion despite the camera otherwise operating normally. Typical causes include moisture or condensation around the lens, IR interference, optical contamination, or malfunction of the camera's imaging/IR-cut-filter system.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
