Arista repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Arista Networks is a U.S.-based networking equipment and software OEM specializing in high-performance Ethernet switches, routers, campus networking systems, wireless access products, and network-management/security platforms. Its equipment is particularly prominent in hyperscale cloud, enterprise data centers, AI infrastructure, campus networks, and large-scale routing environments. Arista designs its hardware platforms and develops its Extensible Operating System (EOS) software internally, while outsourcing most physical production to contract manufacturers including Jabil, Sanmina, and Foxconn. The company is especially known for high-speed, low-latency Ethernet switching and increasingly for networking infrastructure connecting large AI and accelerated-computing clusters. Product sales accounted for roughly $7.58B of its $9.01B FY2025 revenue, with the remainder primarily coming from services and support.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply Failure

Internal AC/DC power-supply modules can fail, drop output, report over-current faults, or stop receiving input power. Affected switches may continue operating from the redundant PSU, while single-supply or multiple-PSU failures can cause shutdown or failure to power on.

Fan Module Failure

Individual hot-swappable fan modules can stop spinning, operate below their expected RPM, or become electrically undetected. Reduced airflow raises internal temperatures and can eventually trigger thermal protection or shutdown.

SFP/QSFP Transceiver Failure

SFP, SFP+, QSFP, QSFP28 and higher-speed optical modules can become electrically faulty, overheat, lose transmit/receive capability, or fail identification. A defective transceiver can leave a port down and, on some platforms, trigger a power-controller fault affecting a group of front-panel ports.

Ethernet Port / PHY Failure

Individual Ethernet interfaces can lose link despite known-good cabling and transceivers because of failed port electronics, PHY circuitry, connector damage, or associated power circuitry. Symptoms include permanently down ports, intermittent links, excessive physical-layer errors, or ports that stop detecting installed modules.

Thermal / Overheating Failure

Blocked airflow, failed fans, high ambient temperature, or cooling-system problems can push internal components beyond their temperature thresholds. Arista hardware increases fan speed at alert thresholds and can shut down affected components or the entire switch when critical temperatures persist.

Flash / Storage Failure

Internal flash or optional SSD storage can develop filesystem, media, or controller problems that interfere with EOS images, configuration storage, logging, or normal boot operation. Severe storage faults can leave a switch unable to load EOS normally or repeatedly failing during startup.

Line Card Failure

Modular Arista chassis can develop failed or improperly detected line cards, causing groups of network interfaces to disappear or become unavailable. The chassis supervisor explicitly monitors line-card health and reports failed modules through its hardware status indicators.

Fabric Module Failure

Fabric modules in modular switching platforms can fail or become improperly seated, reducing or eliminating the internal switching paths required between line cards. Arista chassis provide dedicated fabric-module fault monitoring because failure can affect connectivity across substantial portions of the system.

Supervisor Module Failure

Supervisor modules can fail to initialize, become electrically faulty, or unexpectedly relinquish control of a modular chassis. Systems equipped with redundant supervisors can fail over to the standby supervisor, while a failure without working redundancy can prevent normal chassis operation.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
