Arashi Vision repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

End Use Segment

Arashi Vision Inc. is a Chinese imaging-technology manufacturer best known globally under its Insta360 brand. The company develops consumer and professional digital imaging hardware centered on 360-degree cameras, action cameras, wearable/compact cameras, professional panoramic and VR cameras, smartphone gimbals, webcams, and associated imaging software and AI-based video-processing technology. Products such as the Insta360 X-series, ONE/RS modular cameras, Ace-series action cameras, GO miniature cameras, Flow smartphone stabilizers, and professional Pro/Titan panoramic systems have established the company as a major specialist in immersive and action imaging. Regulatory documentation identifies Arashi Vision as the manufacturer of Insta360 products and confirms Chinese manufacture, while company filings show a hybrid production model combining its own production capabilities with EMS/contract assembly.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Overheating / Thermal Shutdown

Insta360 cameras can become excessively hot during sustained high-resolution recording and may stop recording or shut down when thermal protection is triggered. The issue is especially associated with prolonged 4K/5.7K/8K recording and has been reported across X-series and GO-series hardware.

Battery / Charging Failure

Cameras may refuse to charge, show abnormal charging LEDs, charge without increasing battery percentage, rapidly discharge, or fail to recognize the battery. Faults can originate from degraded batteries, charging circuitry, USB-C connections, or power-management electronics.

MicroSD Card Recognition / Recording Failure

Cameras may report “No SD Card,” SD-card errors, insufficient write speed, corrupted storage, or unexpectedly stop recording. Persistent faults despite a known-good UHS-I V30 card can indicate problems with the card reader, contacts, storage interface, or associated electronics.

Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Connection Failure

Insta360 cameras can fail to appear in the mobile app, repeatedly disconnect, or become unable to establish Wi-Fi/Bluetooth communication. When software, permissions, firmware and phone compatibility are eliminated, the camera's wireless hardware becomes a likely fault area.

Lens Damage / Degraded Image Quality

The protruding fisheye lenses used on many Insta360 360-degree cameras are vulnerable to scratches and impact damage, producing haze, flare, blurry patches or permanently degraded footage. Damaged optical surfaces generally require lens-module or camera repair rather than calibration.

Touchscreen / Display Failure

X-series and other screen-equipped models can develop unresponsive touch input, flickering, lines, abnormal colors, image jitter or persistent display artifacts. Faults that remain after firmware updates and factory resets can require display, digitizer or internal hardware repair.

USB-C / Computer Recognition Failure

Cameras may charge through USB yet fail to enter USB/U-Disk mode or be recognized by a computer, or may intermittently lose their wired connection. After cable, computer and firmware causes are excluded, the USB-C connector or internal USB interface is a common repair target.

Water Ingress / Internal Moisture Damage

Despite waterproof-rated models, compromised seals, improperly closed battery/USB covers, impact damage or incorrect underwater use can allow moisture into the camera and cause no-power or electronic failures. Lens-guard condensation and fogging are also frequently encountered moisture-related complaints.

System Freezing / Unexpected Power Failure

Insta360 hardware can freeze, become unresponsive, reboot, shut down unexpectedly or refuse to power on. Causes range from firmware and storage problems to battery/power-management faults, liquid damage and failures of internal camera or lens modules.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
