AOTO repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

AOTO, formally Shenzhen AOTO Electronics Co., Ltd. (SHE: 002587), is a Chinese professional visual-display manufacturer founded in 1993 and best known for high-end direct-view LED display systems and integrated visual solutions. Its hardware portfolio includes fine-pitch and Mini/Micro-LED display systems for virtual production/XR studios, broadcast, digital signage, sports venues, rental/staging, retail, control rooms, transportation, cinema, and large-format outdoor advertising, along with proprietary LED controllers, video-processing systems, and supporting software platforms. AOTO has become particularly prominent in film and television virtual production, with more than 100 mid- to large-scale LED studios deployed worldwide, while its displays have also appeared at major international sporting events and in large financial-institution networks.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply Failure

The switching power supply fails or produces unstable DC output, causing an entire cabinet or groups of LED modules to remain dark. AOTO troubleshooting procedures specifically call for checking or replacing the cabinet switching power supply when displays fail to illuminate.

Scan Card / Receiving Card Failure

A failed scan or receiving card can cause a complete cabinet to go black, lose signal, or display corrupted imagery. Indicators may stop flashing normally even though power is present, requiring replacement of the affected card.

LED Pixel Failure

Individual RGB LEDs can become dead, permanently illuminated, dim, or lose one color channel. These failures commonly originate in the LED package, solder connections, or local module circuitry and generally require module-level repair or replacement.

LED Driver IC Failure

Driver IC faults cause missing rows, missing columns, groups of dead pixels, stuck pixels, or abnormal brightness. AOTO specifically identifies IC failure as a cause of LED-module display faults.

HUB Board / Data Port Failure

Poor contact or electrical failure at the HUB board can interrupt signal distribution to one or more LED modules. Symptoms include blank module sections, intermittent operation, abnormal colors, or image corruption.

Module Data Connector Failure

Loose, oxidized, damaged, or poorly seated module data connectors and ribbon cables cause modules to go dark, flicker, or display corrupted information. AOTO documentation specifically identifies poor module data-port contact as a recurring cause of display failure.

Inter-Cabinet Network Connection Failure

Damaged or poorly connected Ethernet/network cables can cause one cabinet and every downstream cabinet in the signal chain to stop displaying. The first dark cabinet or its incoming network connection is typically the primary diagnostic point.

Intermittent Flickering / Unstable Display

Modules or cabinets may flicker because of unstable power, failing data connections, HUB-card faults, receiving-card problems, or deteriorated connectors. The problem can affect isolated modules or larger sections depending on where the fault occurs.

Blank or Corrupted Display Output

An AOTO display may power up but show a blank, blurred, scrambled, or otherwise incorrect image because of controller/scan-card failure or loss of valid module configuration data. Hardware scan-card replacement is indicated when cabling and configuration restoration do not correct the fault.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most AOTO devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
