Antelope Audio is a Bulgarian professional-audio hardware and software manufacturer founded around the engineering work of Igor Levin and operated primarily through Elektrosfera Ltd. The company specializes in high-end audio interfaces, AD/DA converters, master clocks, microphone preamps, modeling microphones, monitor controllers, and DSP/FPGA-based recording systems used in recording studios, production facilities, broadcast environments, and high-end home studios. It is particularly known for its precision digital clocking technology, high-channel-count interfaces and converters, and its Synergy Core platform, which combines FPGA and DSP processing to run real-time audio effects with very low latency. Antelope develops and sells its products internationally and positions itself toward professional recording and high-definition audio applications.
The interface is intermittently disconnected, not detected by the computer, or fails to appear in the Antelope Launcher or DAW. This is frequently reported across Orion, Discrete, Zen, and Goliath models and may involve the interface port, Thunderbolt controller, USB circuitry, cable connection, or communication firmware.
The unit does not power on, repeatedly restarts, freezes during startup, or shuts down unexpectedly. Bus-powered Zen models are particularly sensitive to insufficient USB power, while externally powered units can develop power-supply or internal power-regulation faults.
The interface becomes stuck during startup, displays a critical-error message, or becomes unusable following a firmware update. Antelope provides hardware factory-reset and firmware-recovery procedures for Orion, Zen, Discrete, Goliath, and other models specifically for these conditions.
The interface loses digital clock lock, repeatedly changes sample rate, clicks or pops, or fails to synchronize correctly with ADAT, S/PDIF, Word Clock, or another digital device. Problems may originate in the clock input/output circuitry, synchronization configuration, or communication between the interface and host.
One or more analog inputs, line outputs, monitor outputs, or digital channels produce no signal, intermittent signal, distortion, or severely reduced level. Antelope troubleshooting documentation repeatedly addresses missing input/output audio across Orion Studio, Discrete, and related interfaces.
Touchscreen-equipped Zen Tour and Goliath models can develop inaccurate touch response, calibration problems, frozen controls, blank sections, or unusable screen functions. Antelope provides a dedicated hardware touchscreen recalibration procedure for these models.
Headphone outputs can become intermittent, noisy, weak, distorted, or lose one channel, particularly where the front-panel jack receives frequent mechanical use. Owner reports also describe developing connection problems at headphone jacks on Orion and Discrete-family interfaces.
Volume encoders and front-panel buttons can become erratic, skip values, fail to register presses, or stop controlling menus and output levels reliably. These controls are heavily used for gain, monitor level, menu navigation, and hardware configuration on Discrete, Orion Studio, and similar models.
Interfaces may develop audible hum, buzzing, interference, crackling, or unstable output, especially when power quality, grounding, or USB power is marginal. Antelope specifically documents power-supply quality, grounding, balanced cabling, and USB power as recurring causes of these symptoms.
