Alzatex repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Alzatex, Inc. is a small U.S. electronics OEM founded in 1993 that designs and manufactures specialized electronic timing, display, counting, and control equipment for commercial, industrial, government, military, sports, and institutional applications. Its product portfolio includes LED count-up/count-down timers, race and sports clocks, presentation/lectern timers, large digital displays, production/TAKT monitoring systems, take-a-number and queue-management systems, master/IRIG-B clocks, voting/request-to-speak equipment, controllers, and related electronic accessories. The company is particularly known for digital timers and LED displays and for adapting/customizing designs to customers' specific applications; many of its standard products originated as custom designs.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply / No-Power Failure

Unit does not power on or the display remains dark because of a failed, undersized, disconnected, or overloaded power supply. Alzatex documentation specifically warns that larger or multiple displays can exceed the available power-supply capacity.

Cable or Connector Failure

Displays, controllers, keypads, or accessories stop communicating or operate intermittently because of loose, damaged, incorrectly seated, or improperly wired RJ11/RJ45/CAT5 connections. Incorrect standard-versus-crossover cable selection can also prevent the intended communication between devices.

Display Not Lighting or Partial Display Failure

An LED display fails to illuminate or operates incorrectly despite the controller being active. Typical causes include loss of display power, wiring/connector problems, or faults within the display hardware.

Wireless Remote / RF Communication Failure

A wireless keypad or keyfob fails to control its receiver because of a weak/dead transmitter battery, pairing/learning problems, receiver configuration, or RF communication loss. On RFTX-series transmitters, failure of the transmit LED to flash is specifically associated with checking power and the battery.

Configuration / Address Mismatch

A display or peripheral fails to respond correctly because its unit address or other configuration does not match the controller/system. Alzatex provides dedicated display-address and setup procedures across multiple timer and display models.

Serial Communication / Baud-Rate Mismatch

Controllers and displays fail to exchange data when communication parameters are incorrect. TimeKeeper documentation identifies 2,400 baud as the normal default and provides configuration procedures for correcting baud-rate settings.

Internal Battery / Clock Failure

Equipment reports LowBatt, ClkError, or loses time/date settings because its internal backup battery is depleted or the real-time clock has developed a fault. Some Alzatex production-monitoring models specifically identify CR2032 replacement for this condition.

Radar Detection / Inaccurate Reading Failure

Radar models may produce inaccurate speeds or fail to detect a target because of calibration, sensor alignment, distance, or environmental conditions. Intermittent radar/display operation can also result from damaged cables or loose connectors.

Control / Firmware Configuration Failure

Timers or displays behave unexpectedly because operational settings, brightness, timer modes, or other stored configuration values are incorrect or corrupted. TimeKeeper F-Series hardware provides a factory-default reset procedure specifically for restoring configuration when necessary.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
