No Power / Unit Won't Turn On
The purifier fails to start or shows no signs of power. Common causes include an improperly seated filter or front panel, loose power cord, power-source problems, or an internal electrical fault.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Alen Corporation is a designer and manufacturer/brand of indoor air-quality products focused primarily on portable HEPA air purifiers and replacement filters. The company is best known for its BreatheSmart line of residential and commercial air cleaners, which combine HEPA filtration with high airflow, relatively quiet operation, air-quality sensing, and large-room coverage. Alen designs and tests products in Austin, Texas, while its products have historically been manufactured through Asian/Chinese manufacturing partners. Its products serve homes, offices, schools, healthcare-related environments, and other indoor spaces where particulate, allergen, smoke, odor, and airborne contaminant reduction is needed.
The purifier fails to start or shows no signs of power. Common causes include an improperly seated filter or front panel, loose power cord, power-source problems, or an internal electrical fault.
The purifier turns itself off during normal continuous operation. Depending on the model, this may be caused by timer settings, improperly seated components, power interruptions, or a fault requiring a reset or service.
Touch controls or buttons stop responding to user input. A child-lock setting can mimic this failure on supported models, while persistent unresponsiveness after unlocking and resetting can indicate a control-related problem.
The air-quality indicator remains at one color or reports conditions inaccurately despite changes in room air quality. Dust or contamination around the particle sensor can cause incorrect readings and improper automatic fan-speed behavior.
The purifier runs but produces insufficient airflow or fails to clean the room effectively. A clogged filter, obstructed intake or outlet, incorrectly installed filter, or fan/motor problem can reduce air movement and filtration performance.
The purifier powers on but its fan does not rotate, rotates abnormally slowly, or fails to move air. Possible causes include an obstruction, fan-blade or motor problems, or an electrical failure affecting the fan assembly.
The purifier develops excessive humming, rattling, grinding, or other unusual operating noise. Filter restriction can make the unit work harder, while persistent mechanical noise can indicate deterioration or problems in the fan assembly.
The filter warning remains illuminated or blinking after a replacement filter has been installed. This commonly occurs when the filter is not seated correctly, the filter-life indicator has not been manually reset, or the unit is reporting an error.
Wi-Fi-equipped BreatheSmart models fail to connect, pair, or complete onboarding with the Alen Air app. Problems can arise from incompatible network settings, pairing failures, incorrect credentials, or failure of the purifier's temporary setup network to appear.
