Airwave repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Airwave Technologies, Inc. is a U.S. professional-audio equipment company specializing primarily in wireless microphone and monitoring systems for live sound, houses of worship, education, corporate AV, entertainment venues, and broadcast applications. Its hardware portfolio includes multi-channel wireless microphone receivers and transmitters, handheld microphones, bodypack systems, headset and lavalier microphones, instrument microphone systems, in-ear monitoring systems, antenna distribution equipment, camera microphones, and turnkey multi-channel wireless packages. Airwave positions its products as professional-grade but comparatively affordable alternatives to higher-priced wireless-audio brands, emphasizing dependable RF performance, straightforward operation, flexible system configurations, and value. The company states that it has operated in professional wireless audio for more than 20 years; its current U.S. operation is based in Hollywood, Florida, while regulatory documentation identifies contract manufacturing in Guangdong, China.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Audio Output

Receiver powers on and may detect RF, but no usable audio reaches the mixer or amplifier. Common hardware-related causes include failed audio-output circuitry, damaged connectors, transmitter audio-stage faults, or microphone-element failure.

Intermittent RF Signal / Dropouts

Audio repeatedly cuts out as the receiver loses or weakens its RF connection with the transmitter. Antenna faults, damaged RF circuitry, poor antenna connections, or transmitter RF-stage problems can cause persistent dropouts.

Excessive Noise / Audio Distortion

Output becomes noisy, distorted, crackling, or otherwise unusable despite an established RF connection. Faults may involve the transmitter audio stage, microphone capsule, receiver demodulation/output circuitry, or interference-sensitive RF components.

Transmitter Will Not Power On

Handheld or bodypack transmitter remains dead when known-good batteries are installed. Frequent hardware causes include damaged battery contacts, broken battery terminals, power-switch failure, or faults in the internal power-supply circuitry.

Receiver Will Not Power On

Wireless receiver shows no power indication when connected to its supply. A failed external power adapter, damaged DC input jack, internal regulator failure, or power-board fault can produce this condition.

Rapid Battery Drain / Low-Battery Fault

Transmitter operates for substantially less time than expected or reports low voltage despite fresh batteries. Corroded contacts, excessive current draw, failing power-regulation components, or internal board faults may be responsible.

Microphone Capsule / Element Failure

Handheld, headset, or lavalier microphone produces very weak, intermittent, distorted, or completely absent audio while the transmitter remains connected. Capsule damage, cable fatigue, connector failure, moisture contamination, and element failure are typical causes.

Bodypack Input / Connector Failure

Bodypack transmitter establishes an RF connection but receives intermittent or no signal from its lavalier or headset microphone. Repeated plugging and cable movement can damage the input connector, solder joints, contacts, or associated input circuitry.

Frequency Sync / RF Communication Failure

Transmitter and receiver fail to establish a reliable connection or synchronization even when configured for compatible frequencies. Faults can originate in the transmitter or receiver RF section, IR synchronization hardware, antenna path, frequency-control circuitry, or related control electronics.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
