Airthings repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Air Quality Monitoring
End Use Segment

Airthings ASA is a Norwegian environmental technology OEM specializing in connected indoor air-quality and radon monitoring hardware. Its product portfolio includes consumer devices such as Wave-series air-quality monitors and Corentium radon detectors, alongside commercial building monitors and professional radon-measurement equipment. Its sensors measure factors such as radon, CO₂, particulate matter, VOCs, humidity, temperature, and other indoor environmental conditions, with accompanying software providing monitoring, analytics, alerts, and building-level insights. Airthings serves consumers, businesses, schools, building operators, home inspectors, and radon professionals and has shipped more than 1.5 million devices globally. The company is particularly known for making radon detection and broader indoor-air-quality monitoring accessible through compact connected devices.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Battery Drain / Premature Battery Failure

Batteries discharge substantially faster than their expected service life, sometimes causing the monitor to shut down or repeatedly report low battery. Excessive communication activity, poor battery contact, or internal power-management faults can contribute.

Wi-Fi Connection Failure

View-series monitors fail to join Wi-Fi, repeatedly disconnect, or remain offline despite an otherwise functional network. Problems commonly appear around 2.4 GHz compatibility, signal strength, router security settings, or the monitor's wireless subsystem.

Bluetooth Pairing / Sync Failure

Wave-series monitors fail to pair with the Airthings app or stop synchronizing measurements with a previously paired phone. The device may continue measuring locally while new readings no longer reach the app.

Sensor Readings Flatline / Stop Updating

One or more radon, CO2, VOC, particulate, temperature, or humidity channels stop changing and display a fixed or missing value. Low supply voltage, sensor initialization problems, or an internal sensor fault can produce this behavior.

Erratic / Implausible Sensor Readings

A monitor begins reporting unusually high, low, or unstable measurements that conflict with expected environmental conditions. This can occur after power interruption or battery replacement while sensors recalibrate, but persistent abnormalities can indicate sensor degradation or failure.

Persistent Low-Battery Warning

The monitor continues displaying or reporting a low-battery condition after a fresh set of batteries has been installed. Incorrect battery chemistry, low voltage, battery-contact problems, or failure of the device's battery-detection circuitry can cause the warning to remain.

Display Frozen / Not Updating

View and Corentium-family displays can remain stuck on an old reading, setup screen, pairing code, or other previous image instead of showing current measurements. Because View models use e-paper, the last image can remain visible even after power loss, making power or synchronization failures appear to be a frozen screen.

Hub / SmartLink Connection Loss

Wave-family sensors connected through an Airthings Hub or compatible View monitor can lose their SmartLink connection and stop forwarding measurements to the cloud. Loss of hub power, communication-range problems, or failed reconnection can leave associated monitors offline and may increase their battery consumption.

Data Gaps / Missing Measurement History

Recorded measurements fail to appear in the app or dashboard, producing gaps in graphs or apparently missing monitoring periods. Dead batteries, failed synchronization, connectivity interruptions, resets, or prolonged offline operation can prevent samples from reaching the cloud.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most Airthings devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
