Airtame is a Danish audiovisual technology OEM founded in 2013 that develops hardware and cloud software for shared displays in businesses, schools, and other professional environments. Its platform centers on wireless screen sharing, digital signage, room/display management, and hybrid video conferencing, allowing users to present content from computers and mobile devices to meeting-room or classroom displays while administrators centrally manage deployed screens through Airtame Cloud. Airtame became particularly known for its compact wireless presentation hardware, beginning with the original Airtame and Airtame 2 and subsequently expanding its offering into broader collaboration and conferencing solutions. The company positions its products primarily for professional and educational deployments rather than the consumer entertainment market.
Airtame devices may power on normally but produce a black screen, “no device detected” message, or no HDMI output. Airtame 2 has documented HDMI/EDID handshake issues affecting certain units and display combinations, sometimes requiring a replacement or revised Blue Aircord.
The device may show no LED and fail to boot because of a failed or inadequate power adapter, Aircord, power connection, or insufficient input power. Airtame specifically recommends swapping the Aircord and power adapter to isolate these failures.
The Airtame 2 Aircord can develop or exhibit power and HDMI communication problems that cause no-power or blank-screen symptoms. Substituting a known-good Aircord is one of Airtame's primary hardware troubleshooting procedures.
Airtame hardware may repeatedly disconnect, fail to establish a reliable wireless connection, or become unreachable on the network. Poor wireless performance commonly produces interrupted streaming, long connection times, and loss of communication with the device.
Screen sharing may freeze, stutter, disconnect, or develop substantial latency during operation. Airtame identifies unstable wireless connectivity, network congestion, signal strength, and device positioning as major contributors.
Airtame Hub units can enter a repeated reboot cycle, particularly when starting calls or operating attached USB peripherals. Airtame identifies insufficient PoE power, inadequate switch power budget, cable losses, or an undersized power supply as primary causes.
A device may appear offline in Airtame Cloud even though it remains powered and locally accessible. Network connectivity, blocked cloud communication, failed NTP synchronization, or incorrect device time can prevent the hardware from maintaining its cloud connection.
Airtame can produce no picture or an unusable display when its configured output resolution is unsupported by the connected monitor, television, projector, switcher, or HDMI infrastructure. HDCP and HDMI switching equipment can also cause persistent black-screen behavior.
Airtame Hub may fail to reliably operate connected USB cameras, microphones, or speakers when peripherals are incompatible or exceed available USB/power resources. Peripheral loading can also contribute to insufficient-power symptoms and Hub instability.
