AIRFREE repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Airfree Produtos Eletrónicos is a Portuguese manufacturer specializing in filterless air purifiers and air-sterilization appliances for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial environments. Its core differentiator is its proprietary TSS (Thermodynamic Sterilizing System), which uses a heated ceramic core and natural convection to expose airborne microorganisms to high temperatures rather than capturing them in replaceable HEPA filters. The technology is designed for silent, fanless, low-maintenance operation and targets airborne bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold spores, pollen, and other organic allergens. Airfree launched its first P-series purifiers in 2005 and subsequently developed families including the P, T, Lotus, Tulip, Fit, S and WM ranges. The company states that its products are manufactured in Portugal and exported to more than 60 countries across five continents, with applications ranging from homes and offices to hospitals, schools, hotels, museums and historic buildings

2 Most Seen Failures:

TSS Ceramic Core Not Heating

The purifier powers on but the top lid remains cold, indicating that the heated ceramic sterilization core is not operating. Failure can originate in the heating element, its power circuit, thermal protection, or control electronics.

Continuous Blinking / Fault Light

The top indicator repeatedly blinks and does not return to normal operation after the purifier is upright and airflow is unobstructed. Persistent blinking can indicate an internal electrical or control-system malfunction that causes the TSS ceramic core to shut down.

Main Control Board Failure

The purifier becomes completely inoperative or repeatedly enters protective shutdown because the internal electronic control board has failed. Airfree specifically identifies prolonged overheating or blocked airflow as conditions capable of triggering permanent cutoff and requiring circuit-board replacement.

Overtemperature / Thermal Cutoff Failure

The ceramic heating system repeatedly shuts down or fails to restart because the unit detects excessive internal temperature. Blocked air passages, abnormal ambient temperature, or faults in the thermal-control circuitry can produce this condition.

Power Supply / No-Power Failure

The purifier shows no heat, illumination, or other evidence of operation despite being connected to a known-good outlet. Common hardware suspects include the power-input circuitry, internal wiring, thermal protection, control PCB, or ceramic-core supply circuit.

Damaged Power Cord or Input Connection

Intermittent or complete loss of power develops from damage to the mains cord, plug, strain relief, or internal power connection. Airfree specifically requires a damaged supply cord to be replaced by qualified service personnel because of the electrical hazard.

Airflow Obstruction / Internal Overheating

Restricted lower air inlets or upper outlets prevent the natural convection required by the fanless TSS system, causing excessive internal temperature and protective shutdown. Severe or prolonged obstruction can result in permanent electronic damage.

Night-Light / LED Failure

The purifier continues heating normally but its top illumination, multicolor night light, or status LED becomes intermittent, unresponsive, or completely dark. Likely faults include the LED assembly, touch-control circuitry, wiring, or its low-voltage driver electronics.

Touch Light-Control Failure

Models equipped with touch-controlled illumination stop responding correctly to brightness, color, or on/off commands. The fault is typically isolated to the capacitive touch sensor, associated control electronics, connection, or lighting-control circuit rather than the TSS sterilization system.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (September 14, 2026).
