AIC repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

AIC Inc. is a Taiwanese computer-hardware OEM/ODM specializing in enterprise servers, high-density storage systems, server motherboards, rackmount and industrial chassis, GPU/AI servers, JBOD/JBOF platforms, NVMe storage, and related data-center infrastructure. The company combines mechanical, electronic, thermal, firmware, and system-level engineering with in-house manufacturing, serving both customers requiring custom OEM/ODM platforms and buyers of AIC-branded commercial systems. Its products are particularly oriented toward cloud and hyperscale data centers, AI/HPC infrastructure, network appliances, enterprise storage, cybersecurity and media workloads. AIC has increasingly positioned itself around AI servers and high-performance/high-density storage, expanding manufacturing in Taiwan and Vietnam to support growing data-center demand.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply Failure / Redundancy Lost

One PSU in the redundant power system stops producing proper output, triggering "Power Redundancy Lost," amber/red PSU indicators, or complete power loss. Common associated conditions include AC/DC failure, overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and internal PSU fan failure.

Cooling Fan Failure

Chassis or PSU cooling fans can stop, slow down, or report abnormal RPM, generating fan-failure and thermal events through the BMC/SES monitoring system. Loss of airflow can subsequently cause component overheating, throttling, or emergency shutdown.

System Will Not Power On

AIC servers may become completely unresponsive with no successful power-up due to PSU, standby-power, motherboard, expansion-card, or power-distribution faults. A missing motherboard 5VSB/12V standby indication is a key diagnostic symptom.

Drive / Storage Bay Failure

HDD, SSD, SAS/SATA, or NVMe devices may disappear, fail to initialize, or stop reporting activity through individual storage bays. Faults can originate from the drive itself, drive carrier connection, backplane, cabling, expander, or associated power path.

Memory / DIMM Failure

ECC DIMMs can develop initialization, training, compatibility, or runtime memory errors that prevent POST or generate critical system events. AIC explicitly includes memory faults among conditions capable of triggering its critical system-failure indication.

Overtemperature / Thermal Shutdown

Restricted airflow, failed fans, excessive system loading, or cooling problems can drive monitored components beyond warning or critical temperature thresholds. AIC platforms can report temperature warnings before progressing to component throttling or protective shutdown.

BMC / IPMI Management Failure

The baseboard management controller may become unreachable, fail to initialize correctly, lose sensor visibility, or behave improperly following firmware/configuration problems. This can also leave fans operating at unusually high speed because normal BMC sensor-based fan control has not initialized.

CMOS Battery Failure / BIOS Settings Loss

The motherboard RTC/CMOS battery can fall below its required voltage and cause BIOS configuration or boot-mode settings to reset unexpectedly. AIC specifically associates a battery below approximately 2.7 V with unexpected "Boot type changed from Legacy to Dual" behavior.

Motherboard / Voltage-Regulator Failure

Server boards can develop voltage-regulation or motherboard power-delivery faults that produce critical system alerts, unstable operation, POST failure, or complete no-power conditions. AIC's system-failure monitoring explicitly identifies voltage-regulator faults alongside processor, memory, thermal, fan, and NMI failures.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
