Advanced Network Devices repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Advanced Network Devices (ANetD) is a U.S. electronics manufacturer founded in 2004 specializing in network-connected audiovisual mass-notification, paging, intercom, and facility-safety hardware. The company was an early developer of Power-over-Ethernet IP loudspeakers and today produces PoE/PoE+ IP speakers, HD and LED notification displays, smart panic buttons, indoor and outdoor strobes, paging/intercom buttons, IP hubs and zone controllers, along with ClockWise Campus notification software and Vigilar threat-detection technology. Its equipment is designed to integrate with SIP/VoIP systems and third-party mass-notification and security platforms, primarily for schools, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, manufacturing sites, government facilities, and other campuses requiring facility-wide emergency and routine communications. ANetD reports more than 300,000 devices in service worldwide and is particularly known for combining audible announcements, visual messaging, two-way communication, and safety detection within network-powered endpoints.

2 Most Seen Failures:

PoE Power / No-Power Failure

Device fails to boot, repeatedly restarts, or remains completely unresponsive because of inadequate PoE delivery, a failed PoE input stage, or incompatible power equipment. Larger ANetD displays and speakers can be especially sensitive to insufficient switch power budgets.

Network Initialization / DHCP Failure

Device becomes stuck at "NETWORK INIT," never receives an IP address, or disappears from management software. Common causes include Ethernet connectivity faults, DHCP failure, switch configuration problems, or failure of the device's network interface.

Intermittent Crashing / Unexpected Rebooting

IP speakers and display endpoints may unexpectedly crash, reboot, or become unavailable during normal operation. Field reports include firmware program faults followed by automatic rebooting on IPSWDHD-MW and IPCSHD-series hardware.

No Audio / Paging Failure

Speaker appears powered and online but produces no paging audio, announcements, or stored sounds. Faults can involve configuration or authentication errors, SIP/multicast communication, the onboard amplifier/audio circuitry, or the connected speaker driver.

NTP / Clock Synchronization Failure

Display boots successfully but shows only a colon, incorrect time, GMT, or otherwise fails to synchronize its clock. This typically results from inaccessible NTP services, incorrect DHCP time options, network connectivity problems, or improper timezone configuration.

Static-IP / Network Lockout

After assigning a static IP address, an ANetD endpoint can become unreachable or unresponsive on the network. ANetD documentation specifically provides a hardware factory-reset procedure for recovering modules from this condition.

Firmware / Configuration Corruption

Device behaves unpredictably, loses settings, stops registering correctly, or develops functionality problems following firmware or configuration changes. ANetD documentation notes that unexpected configuration-file discovery can clear onboard settings and recommends current firmware and controlled provisioning.

Display / Message Output Failure

IP display models may remain blank, freeze, fail to show messages, or display incorrect information despite otherwise being network-accessible. Problems can originate in display configuration/firmware, communication with the messaging server, or the display electronics themselves.

Network Communication / Endpoint Offline Failure

Speaker or display reports "No Communication," intermittently drops offline, or cannot communicate with its controlling server even though it has power. Ethernet cabling, switch behavior, server registration, multicast/SIP configuration, firmware, and the endpoint's network hardware are primary fault areas.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
