Actions-Micro repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Wireless Display
End Use Segment

Actions Microelectronics is a display-technology and semiconductor OEM focused on transmitting video and display data over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB. Founded in 2006, the company develops its own display-processing and compression SoCs, wireless display modules, reference hardware, software protocols, cloud services, and complete finished products. It is best known for the EZCast, EZCast Pro, and QuattroPod ecosystems and also supplies OEM/ODM platforms used in wireless presentation systems, projectors, meeting-room collaboration equipment, education displays, AV-over-IP systems, and consumer screen-mirroring devices. Its vertically integrated model covers chip design, circuit and RF design, software, product engineering, production guidance, and supply-chain integration

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Power / Failure to Boot

EZCast and EZCast Pro receivers may show no LED, no startup screen, or remain completely unresponsive because of unstable 5 V power, damaged USB power circuitry, cable faults, or internal power-regulation failure. Some units repeatedly restart instead of completing the boot sequence.

HDMI Output / No Display

Wireless display receivers may power on normally but produce no image, a black screen, or no HDMI signal at the connected television, monitor, or projector. Common causes include HDMI connector damage, output-stage faults, insufficient power, or firmware failing to initialize video output.

Wi-Fi Connection Drops

EZCast and related receivers can repeatedly disconnect from their router or casting device, causing interrupted mirroring, frozen video, or complete loss of the session. Weak signal, radio interference, crowded channels, antenna faults, or instability in the wireless subsystem are frequent contributors.

Stuck Boot Loop / SSID Missing

EZCast Pro hardware can continuously reboot while its Wi-Fi SSID and password never appear on the startup screen. Actions-Micro specifically associates this condition with Wi-Fi receiver connection problems and unstable power, although corrupted firmware or failing internal hardware can produce similar symptoms.

Transmitter / Receiver Pairing Failure

Pocket and QuattroPod transmitters may stop connecting to their associated receiver, leaving the transmitter inactive or continuously attempting to pair. Pairing loss is particularly associated with resets, receiver changes, and firmware updates and can require the devices to be manually paired again.

Firmware Corruption / Device Freeze

EZCast receivers and transmitters can freeze, fail to start correctly, or become unusable after interrupted or unsuccessful firmware updates. Actions-Micro provides dedicated PC recovery tools for several models, indicating firmware recovery is a recurring service requirement across the product family.

Choppy / Lagging Wireless Video

EZCast and QuattroPod systems can exhibit stuttering video, severe latency, dropped frames, or intermittent freezes during wireless presentation. Poor 5 GHz signal strength, channel congestion, excessive distance, or degraded wireless hardware commonly causes this symptom.

Audio Missing During Mirroring

Some Actions-Micro receivers successfully display video while producing no audio through the connected television or display. Depending on the model and casting protocol, the fault can originate from firmware or protocol compatibility, HDMI audio negotiation, or the receiver's audio-output path.

USB / Type-C Connection Not Detected

EZCast transmitters and Pocket-series hardware may fail to be recognized when connected through USB or USB-C, preventing mirroring, firmware recovery, or transmitter operation. Typical causes include worn connectors, cable damage, inadequate USB power, damaged port circuitry, or failure of the USB interface controller.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
