Aarke repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Aarke is a Swedish premium home-appliance and industrial-design company founded in Stockholm in 2013 by Carl Ljungh and Jonas Groth. It is best known for its stainless-steel Carbonator line of sparkling-water makers, particularly the Carbonator 3, and has expanded into water purification, electric kettles, coffee makers and grinders, drinkware, and beverage products. Aarke differentiates itself through minimalist Scandinavian styling, extensive use of metal rather than plastic, durability, repairability, and premium positioning. Product design, engineering, and testing are centered in Sweden, while manufacturing is distributed internationally; its flagship carbonators are manufactured in China, with other Aarke products also produced in France, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, and Sweden depending on the product.

2 Most Seen Failures:

CO2 Cylinder Seal / Gasket Failure

The rubber gasket sealing the CO2 cylinder becomes damaged, displaced, or missing, allowing gas to leak from the cylinder compartment. Symptoms include hissing, rapid CO2 depletion, water inside the cylinder area, and poor carbonation.

Weak or No Carbonation

Aarke Carbonator models may develop weak CO2 flow or stop carbonating despite having a full cylinder installed. Reported causes include restricted gas flow, internal valve problems, nozzle blockage, poor cylinder sealing, or faults within the pressure system.

CO2 Gas Leakage

Gas can escape internally around the cylinder connection, nozzle, or valve assembly instead of being directed into the water bottle. The defect commonly produces continuous hissing, unusually fast cylinder depletion, or gas escaping through the base of the machine.

Carbonation Nozzle Blockage

The carbonation nozzle can become partially obstructed by ice, mineral deposits, or contamination, substantially reducing CO2 flow. Aarke specifically notes that very cold water can cause ice buildup at the nozzle and produce weak gas flow.

Bottle Neck / Pressure Seal Leakage

Pressure can leak around the bottle opening during carbonation because of worn seals, misalignment, or deterioration within the carbonation-head assembly. Carbonator II and Carbonator 3 owners have reported pressure escaping around the bottle instead of remaining contained during carbonation.

Pressure Release Valve Malfunction

The internal relief or safety-valve assembly can vent prematurely, fail to reach proper carbonation pressure, or behave inconsistently. Users may hear abnormal buzzing or venting and experience little carbonation even though CO2 is flowing into the machine.

Carbonator Pro Lid / Locking Mechanism Failure

The Carbonator Pro's protective chamber may fail to latch or remain securely closed because of wear or failure in its rotating locking mechanism. Reports also describe the locking ring or retaining components coming loose from the chamber assembly.

Water Intrusion Into Carbonator Mechanism

Water can enter the internal carbonation mechanism when the bottle is overfilled, pressure sealing is poor, or liquid backs up through the nozzle. Repeated water intrusion can corrode or contaminate internal valves and eventually produce weak carbonation or erratic operation.

Lever / Gas Actuation Mechanism Failure

The mechanical lever assembly on Carbonator II and Carbonator 3 units can stop opening the CO2 valve correctly or provide inconsistent gas flow. The result is little or no CO2 delivery when the lever is pressed even though the cylinder itself remains charged.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most Aarke devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
