4XEM repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

4XEM is a computer-hardware and IT-accessories supplier founded in 2004, originally focused on IP surveillance cameras before shifting heavily into power, connectivity, networking, and workstation hardware. Today its catalog exceeds 1,000 products and includes USB/USB-C hubs, docking stations, laptop and mobile chargers, power banks, HDMI/DisplayPort and Ethernet cables, video adapters, networking hardware, server racks, charging stations, headsets, computer peripherals, and related accessories. The company primarily targets business, education, government, reseller, and professional IT deployments, and markets itself around broad device compatibility, scalable sourcing, custom-product requests, and power/connectivity problem solving.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Intermittent or No Power Delivery

4XEM USB-C chargers, charging stations, hubs, and docks can develop no-charge, slow-charge, or intermittent charging symptoms. Common hardware causes include deteriorated power-supply components, damaged USB-C connectors, failed PD-controller circuitry, or unstable output regulation.

HDMI / Display Output Failure

4XEM docking stations, USB-C video hubs, HDMI adapters, splitters, and extenders may stop producing video or intermittently show a black screen. Failures commonly involve the HDMI/DisplayPort conversion chipset, damaged output connector, EDID/HDCP communication circuitry, or unstable power to the video-processing IC.

Ethernet Port Failure or Network Dropouts

Ethernet-equipped 4XEM docks and USB-C adapters can lose their wired-network connection, repeatedly disconnect, or stop detecting Ethernet entirely. Likely hardware faults include failure of the internal Ethernet controller or PHY, damaged RJ45 contacts, cracked connector solder joints, or unstable USB power to the networking chipset.

USB Ports Not Detecting Devices

Multiport 4XEM hubs and docking stations may develop one or more USB ports that no longer recognize peripherals or disconnect under load. Typical causes include failed USB hub-controller circuitry, damaged port contacts, degraded solder joints, or a power-distribution fault affecting individual ports.

HDMI Extender / Splitter No-Signal Failure

4XEM HDMI extenders, repeaters, and multi-output splitters can power on while failing to pass a stable audio/video signal. Common failures include transmitter or receiver chipset faults, HDMI equalizer/driver failure, damaged RJ45 or HDMI ports, failed EDID circuitry, or degradation of the external power adapter.

USB-C Connector or Attached Lead Damage

Portable 4XEM hubs, adapters, and chargers with captive USB-C leads are susceptible to worn, bent, or internally fractured connectors after repeated flexing. The resulting fault can cause complete loss of operation, intermittent connection, reduced charging power, or video/data functions that work only when the cable is positioned a certain way.

Overheating / Thermal Shutdown

High-wattage 4XEM USB-C chargers, desktop charging stations, docks, and charging cabinets may shut down, cycle, or lose output when their power circuitry overheats. Degraded switching components, inadequate thermal transfer, obstructed ventilation, or failing power-conversion components can make the symptom progressively more frequent.

Wireless HDMI Connection Failure

4XEM wireless HDMI transmitters and receivers can fail to establish a link, repeatedly disconnect, freeze, or produce intermittent video. Likely failure areas include the wireless transceiver chipset, HDMI processing circuitry, receiver power supply, antenna connection, or transmitter USB-C/HDMI interface.

Charging Station / Charging Cart Ports Not Charging

4XEM multi-device charging stations and charging carts may develop individual dead ports, groups of devices that fail to charge, or complete loss of charging output. Common hardware causes include failed internal power supplies, USB-C PD distribution boards, damaged charging connectors, wiring faults, or protection circuitry remaining in a fault state.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
