No Power / Failure to Start
Camera does not power on despite operation of the power switch. Common causes include depleted or deteriorated batteries, poor battery contact, charging faults, or internal power-circuit problems.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
100 Enterprises International Group Company Limited is a Hong Kong-based brand-management, product-development, and manufacturing company founded in 2013. It serves as the global representative and exclusive agent for brands including YASHICA, JNC, and MENDi, with authority over product R&D, production, marketing, and worldwide distribution. Its most visible activity is the revival and commercialization of YASHICA, for which it develops modern digital and film cameras, compact cameras, night-vision products, and related imaging products, while JNC extends its portfolio into household electronics and appliances. The company is particularly known for reviving established legacy brands and adapting them into contemporary consumer products through new product development, licensing, collaborations, crowdfunding, and international distribution.
Camera does not power on despite operation of the power switch. Common causes include depleted or deteriorated batteries, poor battery contact, charging faults, or internal power-circuit problems.
Battery runtime becomes abnormally short or the camera shuts down unexpectedly. Aging lithium batteries, temperature sensitivity, charging degradation, and excessive display or wireless use are common contributors.
Camera screen or controls freeze and stop responding during normal use. DigiMate and City-series documentation specifically identifies system lockups, sometimes associated with rapid button inputs or memory-card problems.
Camera fails to recognize the installed microSD/TF card or refuses to record images or video. Incompatible cards, corrupted file systems, interrupted write operations, and lower-speed cards are repeatedly identified across YASHICA documentation.
Pressing the shutter does not reliably produce an image, produces delayed capture, or requires abnormal button travel. The Y35 is particularly associated with pronounced shutter lag, inconsistent response, and fragile-feeling shutter controls.
Images remain soft even when the subject appears to be within normal shooting distance. Focus-range limitations, poor low-light focusing, fixed-focus designs, lens alignment, or contamination of the lens are recurring causes.
Mechanical controls such as advance levers, switches, or adjustment dials become loose, unreliable, or stop actuating correctly. Y35 reports specifically note fragile power controls, EV controls, and frame-advance mechanisms that can fail with use.
Camera repeatedly disconnects from the companion app or fails to establish a stable wireless connection. City-series manuals cite short usable range, interference, camera resets, and connection configuration as common causes.
Images exhibit severe barrel distortion, uneven sharpness, or poor edge quality despite otherwise normal operation. The Y35 is especially well documented for strong optical distortion and inconsistent image sharpness, indicating lens-system limitations or alignment problems.
