Reviving Portable Imaging to Support Patient Care
What we did
GE Vscan Extend Emory University supports a broad community of researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals who depend on specialized technology for their work. When a GE Vscan Extend, a handheld ultrasound system designed for portable diagnostic imaging, developed a bowed or curved screen, the unit was sent to Acme Revival for evaluation and service. The diagnostic process considered the display distortion and the factors that can contribute to this type of screen problem, allowing Acme Revival to determine the appropriate service path without overstating an undocumented component-level cause. After the approved work was completed, the Vscan Extend underwent functional testing and was confirmed to be operating to factory specifications. The service concluded with a successful repair outcome, returning Emory University’s portable ultrasound system in working condition.
