Reviving Automated Cell Counting to Advance Research

What we did

Stanford University supports a broad research community where dependable laboratory instrumentation is essential to scientific work. When an Invitrogen Countess automated cell counter developed a broken power-adapter connection that prevented the adapter from being plugged into the device, the unit was sent to Acme Revival for evaluation. The damage was localized to the area where the power adapter connects, with the Service Detail noting physical damage or wear as possible causes without confirming a single source of failure. Acme Revival completed the approved repair needed to address the broken connection and restore the device’s operation. Following service, the Countess was tested and confirmed to be operating to factory specifications. The repair concluded with a successful outcome, returning Stanford University’s cell-counting instrument to working condition.
