Reestablishing Molecular Analysis Precision for Scientific Research

What we did

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory supports advanced scientific research where precise analytical instrumentation is essential to experimental work. When a Wyatt DAWN HELEOS II light-scattering instrument began triggering a laser monitor alarm, it was sent to Acme Revival for evaluation. Technicians traced the problem to an internal fluid leak that had compromised the laser assembly, with potential damage to sensitive optical and electronic components. Because of the extent and location of the damage, Acme Revival recommended replacing the affected laser assembly rather than attempting a limited component-level repair. The approved service addressed the damaged assembly and included examination of related systems for additional effects from the leak. After the work was completed, the device’s original complaint was documented as resolved and the repair outcome was marked successful, returning the instrument to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in working condition.
