Customer States:

“The refurbished Thermocube cooling unit (serial number and other info attached) purchased is not working properly.1) It does NOT cool the fluid, it just re-circulates it. More often than not, temperature goes UP instead of cooling as requested by the user controls.2) The unit was refurbished and came with some liquid inside. We emptied it before testing it and added Koolant fluid as per the manufacturer’s instructions (manual recommended).3) We changed hoses in hopes it would improve performance. We then realized the system had fungi (pictures attached) and the liquid inside is yellowish. The Koolant liquid used for the unit is clear (picture attached), so there’s something inside the unit that is compromising the integrity of the coolant fluid. The lid (to put liquid in) even had some residue. Reference pictures attached”As is the system is nowhere near nominal performance and does not seem to meet refurbished standards.I have tested it a few more times and it simply does not lower the temperature of the x-ray tube. It was also tested on a closed circuit loop. It circulates and it ends up increasing the temperature, rather than cooling, as it is meant to do.We tested the Thermocube unit cooling procedures with a different unit (same brand, different model) at the University of Rochester and that unit does cool the (same) x-ray tube, so it is confirmed that our unit is defective.As is, The unit delivered is not useful for x-ray tube cooling, so we need to either repair this unit by trouble shooting in-house with Acme/Thermocube guidance, shipping to Acme for repait, or return under warranty and find a replacement. Please advise.
