Overview

Of most portable ventilators Acme reviews, we are undoubtedly impressed by the ergonomics and sheer lightness of the Stellar 150. Weighing in at only 4.62 pounds (without battery) and measuring just under 10 inches in length– combined with an 8 hour battery life, this is truly a portable-go-anywhere unit. That being said, the small proportions of this ResMed system mean a small display user interface and limited real-time reporting. The good news however includes a USB data output that can deliver information to clinicians needing more information than what the on-screen waveforms are showing. Although the unit also has audible alert volume control, remote connection can also be had through an option accessory, or directly integrated into most hospital alarm systems. Despite its minimalness, ResMed packs its latest compensation and synchrony technology including Vsync and Ticontrol for mask-leak compensation, and LearnCircuit algorithms calculate and compensate for changes to impedance.
