Description
It’s Purpose:
The Hybaid Touchdown TD-7300 provides precise temperature control to facilitate the three essential steps of a typical PCR cycle: denaturation, annealing, and extension. During denaturation, the DNA template is heated to a high temperature (usually around 94-98°C) to separate the double-stranded DNA into single strands. In the annealing step, the temperature is lowered to allow the primers to bind to the complementary sequences on the DNA template. Finally, in the extension step, the temperature is increased to allow DNA polymerase to synthesize new DNA strands using the primers as a starting point.
Acme’s Summary:
The thermal cycler is a crucial instrument in molecular biology research, diagnostics, forensics, and other fields where DNA amplification is necessary. It allows researchers to perform PCR reactions with high precision, reproducibility, and efficiency, enabling the amplification of specific DNA sequences for various applications such as gene expression analysis, genotyping, sequencing, and more.
