Overview

Despite a 64 pound weigh-in before being placed on the cart, the Dräger Evita XL features one of the better LCD user interfaces we’ve seen from the manufacturing time period. A massive 15″ touch-LCD color display screen impresses combined with a straight-forward and fairly simple operator interface loaded with software features and a thorough pre-use check that does however take some time. The Evita XL is a feature-rich ventilator for in-patient use that combines dozens of ventilation modes with modern features such as Dräger’s AutoFlowâ„¢ – Automatic adaptation of inspiratory flow in volume controlled modes – ATCâ„¢ – Automatic Tube Compensationâ„¢ – NIV – Mask Ventilation (optional) – SmartCare®/PS –Automated clinical protocol in CPAP/ASB / CPAP/Psupp (optional). We also appreciate the Evita’s pediatric capabilities for infants down to 3 kilograms. Given these vast modes, features, and options, expect extensive clinical training with the Evita XL before flying solo.
